東京ビッグサイトで開催されたライフスタイル展IFFT 2018では石巻工房の展示の他に「石巻工房 by karimoku」としても出展しました。これは日本の木製家具業界をけん引するメーカーのカリモクが石巻工房の背景やコンセプトを引き継ぎながら新たな家具作りに挑むプロジェクトです。展示では石巻工房の代表作であるISHINOMAKI STOOL、AA STOOL、KOBO TABLE などをカリモクが製作したものを発表しました。カリモクによる樹種の選定や製造方法により、新たな商品が生まれました。現在販売に向けて準備中です。

In addition to its own booth, Ishinomaki Laboratory also exhibited its newest collaboration “Ishinomaki Laboratory by karimoku” at IFFT Interior Lifestyle Living 2018, held at Tokyo Big Sight. As Japan’s largest furniture maker, Karimoku hopes to pay respect to Ishinomaki Laboratory’s background and founding concept through its own take on our designs. Karimoku exhibited their version of classic products such as the ISHINOMAKI STOOL, AA STOOL, and KOBO TABLE at IFFT. These new products were constructed with different wood types as well as manufacturing methods. Karimoku is currently preparing to release these products for sale, so please stay tuned.
