石巻の仮設住宅のために考え出された「ENDAI（エンダイ）」から発展した家具シリーズのひとつです。家の庭や近に、簡易的な縁側を作る「縁台」の心地よさを、背もたれ付いて登場。同シリーズの「EN TABLE」などと合わせると、アウトドアダイニングセットができあがります。もちろんインテリアでも使用できます。
デザイン：藤森泰司 Taiji Fujimori
1991年東京造形大学デザイン学科卒業後、家具デザイナー大橋晃朗に師事。92年より長谷川逸子・建築計画工房に勤務。99年に藤森泰司アトリエ設立。家具デザインを中心に据え、建築家とのコラボレーション、インテリア・プロダクトデザインの分野で活動中。近年は、家具的な思考を掘り下げていくことによって、さまざまなデザイン分野へ活動領域を広げている。

Starting with the Endai – which was originally created for those living in temporary housing – a new family of furniture was developed. This version of the Endai bench comes with a backrest, allowing you to comfortably relax outdoors by the veranda, and porch. When paired with the EN Table, it can be used as an patio set or as your indoor dining furniture.
Design : Taiji Fujimori
Taiji Fujimori was born in 1967 in Saitama, Japan. After graduating from Tokyo Zokei University (Department of Design) in 1991, he studied under furniture designer Teruaki Ohashi. He joined the Itsuko Hasegawa Atelier (Architectural Planning Studio) in 1992, and then established TAIJI FUJIMORI ATELIER in 1999. He specializes in furniture design and is actively engaged in interior/product design projects and works in collaboration with various architects.
