At CRAFTED CONNECTIONS, an event hosted by CRAFTSHIPS, Inc., the artistry of six brands from Japan and abroad will come together, where they will unveil a limited-edition of Aging-Dyed model of the ISHINOMAKI STOOL.
Traditionally, dyeing techniques are applied to textiles such as fabrics and threads, this special edition draws inspiration from the natural patina of well-worn wooden benches. The technique of shōen-zome (soot dyeing with pine soot), historically used for sumi dyeing in Japan, has been reimagined to reveal a distinctive expression on wood.
