Wataru Kumano

Born in 1980. From 2001, he studied at graduate programs including Aalto University in Finland. After returning to Japan, he worked as an associate designer at Jasper Morrison’s Tokyo studio, and in 2011 founded his own design office, kumano. His practice focuses mainly on furniture and product design. In 2021, he was appointed Associate Professor in the Department of Industrial, Interior, and Craft Design at Musashino Art University.
